Welcome!
When words are used as weapons, it helps to understand how those weapons are being used. FistFree Language™ sorts those understandings into three basic categories: Seeing, Saying, and Storms.
_ SEEING (under the heading THE WAY WE “SEE” THINGS) — Each of us sees things in our own unique way. After all, we’re not clones or robots with identical programming. “Seeing” involves our understanding of what’s going on, what something means, and how the world works. It can also literally be what we see.
_ SAYING (under the heading LANGUAGE)— The Who, What, Where, When, Why and How are all important factors in saying. Even a small change in one factor can change the meaning of the message.
_ STORMS (under the heading CONFLICT)— Whether it’s a spat or a slugfest or worse, it helps to know if a conflict is coming could be coming. It’s important to know what to do when it arrives.
_ The heading TOXIC LANGUAGE™ is sets out this skillset which has been designed to help you deal with the various types of language that can hurt you.
_ And the heading MUSINGS is my soap box. It has posts of my musings, observations and comments about, well, anything that strikes my fancy. I hope you find them insightful, if not amusing [please pardon my bad pun].
