BACKGROUND
Dr. Lim is the founder and principal of Lim & Company and has over 40 years of experience in the practice of law in British Columbia, Canada. After receiving his Juris Doctor (JD) in 1976 from the University of British Columbia, Dr. Lim was called to the British Columbia bar in July 1977 and has been in private practice in the Greater Vancouver area ever since. In 2004 Dr. Lim obtained his doctorate in business administration (DA) from California Pacific University. Dr. Lim also has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Natural Science from Ateneo University (1972) in the Philippines.
AREAS OF PRACTICE
Dr. Lim's has extensive experience in a wide range of practice areas, which include real estate transactions, company law, commercial law, business law, immigration law, family law, wills and estate planning, trademark registration and criminal defence.
PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
-Appointed by the Governor General of Canada and the Privy Council for Canada to serve as a Commissioner of the Fraser River Harbour Commission from 1995 to 2002. Appointed as an adjudicating member of the Real Estate Council of British Columbia from 2004 to 2009.
- Frequent guest host and legal expert on the Fairchild TV show "The Expert Speaks". Frequent on-air legal expert for 96.1FM Fairchild radio station.
- Chairman and director of several charities and not-for-profit organizations in Canada. Lectured for The People's Law School as well as for the Business and Commerce Department of Vancouver Community College.
