Contacted this company during a stressful time. Their patience, professionalism and outright kindness were amazing. Justin was a pleasure to work with, and took extra care when replacing locks to make sure the door locked and unlocked smoothly as well as making sure the door hinges and handles were in good working order. Chris was amazing on the phone and so helpful in trying to accommodate e. Thanks guys!!!!

The Service Was Great!
They were on time, and installed the new door locks very fast. The service was great, Chris and his co worker even went out of their way to install our kids height ruler... I highly recommend acme.... Thanks for the great work.. Special thanks to Ian and Chris for being true gentlemen!

Acme Safe opened on Fort Street in 1968, under the partnership of Frank Richards and Al Owens. Both had a long career in locksmithing. In 1972, Ian Smale, then 17, joined the company as part-time help on Saturdays, and worked full time through the summer of 1972, learning the trade. Over the next several years, Ian continued to work there on Saturdays and during the summers while he attended college. In 1976, Ian Smale purchased the company from then-owner, Frank Richards, and began to turn Acme Safe into what we know it as today. Over the next few decades, Ian acquired talent and assets throughout Victoria to provide the best possible customer experience. Today, we continue to strive for excellence and believe in honesty, integrity, and quality workmanship.
