The company started in 1956 under the name of Ray’s Auto Electric by Ray and Clarissa Cutler. The company was based around auto and small engine repair before converting to small engine repair and sales. At that time, Ray repaired all gas engines, including lawn and garden equipment and marine related engines.
Partnerships with Toro began in 1958 and Husqvarna in 1962, providing quality equipment and support which has continued until today. Focus was given to providing quality service, specifically high levels of customer service.
In 1973, Ray’s son Doug came on board to take over the helm. During this time, the original structure was not large enough and had to expand to accommodate. The original is still being used for storage today! The level of service was never compromised, and clients came from near and far for sales and service alike.
Doug’s youngest son Nathan came into the business in 2004. Nathan continues to focus on providing quality equipment with prime support and services. He has gathered a staff that is like-minded in providing an exceptional customer experience beyond anything that you can receive at a box store environment.
