Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you; seek and keep on seeking and you will find; knock and keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who keeps on asking receives, and he who keeps on seeking finds, and to him who keeps on knocking, it will be opened. Matthew 7:7,8 AMP
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8 NLT
Consistency will keep me in the purposes of God regardless of what is happening in my life.
Don’t let the emotion of my situation change what God’s purpose is.
Consistency will build a foundation of trust, setting me up for promotion.
Consistency in my life creates a predictable outcome. As we continue to make calls and send out emails and mail copies of The Shepherd’s Guide, we build a critical mass in the spirit that will eventually break through the opposition that is holding us back, and we will see God’s provision.
Every publication that we do we come to a place where it looks like it isn’t going to work, even after 30 years of doing Edmonton, we hit that wall every year. But as we are consistent in continuing do those things that we can do, God will come through and do that which we cannot do.
Our God is the God of the breakthrough. David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?”
And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand.”
20 So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim.
2 Samuel 5:19,20 NKJV
As we continue to consistently do what we can in the natural, God will breakthrough in the supernatural. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 1 Corinthians 15:46 NKJV. As we continue to do the natural, we plant the seed, we give God something to work with. As we consistently do that, he will take what seems insignificant to us, and multiply it into something far greater than what we expected.
“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. 11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? 12 And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own? Luke16:10-12 NLT
Faithfulness in the natural handling of business sets the foundation for us to be given responsibility in spiritual things – the true riches of heaven.
What we are doing in The Shepherd’s Guide may seem small, but how we handle what we have been given to do here builds the foundation for much greater things to come.
Your faithfulness to do what you have been entrusted with for us, is preparing you for something that will be your own.
So, don’t stop, don’t lose heart, continue to press through and the results will come. The last few weeks before the deadline are the prime selling time. January is always tough; people are recovering from Christmas. But as come into February, things will start to open up. Keeping working the system, action – consistent action builds a momentum that will eventually push through.
