This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
As we ponder Psalm 118:24, I believe it sets us to wonder if God wrote this scripture for such a time as this. There is much evidence that end time prophecies may be coming true.
This can create fear and dismay for many, but it can create another level of anxiety for those of us in business. There is an added complexity now to our planning for our daily and long-term business systems and structures.
As times grow darker our enemy knows there is power in us as Christians in business. We have a voice for our Lord and Savior that is created for these times. I believe Matthew 10:16 is now coming to pass for us in the Christian business arena “I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore, be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.” His call is not for the faint of heart; we will have to decide if we fully submit our businesses to his plans for them.
Can we go to Him daily and quote Psalm 118:24 as we lift our hands in surrender while he molds and shapes us through His plan for our place in the marketplace? Let’s rejoice together for all he has given us and for the place he has put us.
Let us pray for our brothers and sisters in business, for their wisdom, their courage, and their strength to continue on in the Christian Marketplace.
