We’re currently Hiring for:
Project Superintendent / Carpenter
North Elm Construction is seeking a full-time highly skilled and qualified Project Superintendent / Carpenter with 5+ years of industry experience.
As Superintendent, you must be able to coordinate and supervise commercial tenant improvements, build outs, and other commercial construction projects using either North Elm staff or our selected subcontractors. With strong industry knowledge and communication skills, you clearly and effectively move projects to completion, communicating with all project stakeholders: staff, clients, engineers, architects and designers on an ongoing basis.
Job Requirements:

- 5+ years of carpentry and/or industry experience.
- Ability to read plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Available for after hours/emergency calls on rare occasions.
- Must have a valid Driver’s Licence and own a truck for work use.

Responsibilities:
- General construction and carpentry.
- Onsite project supervision and coordination.
- Client project updates and communication
- Cutting and shaping wood; removal and rebuilding of walls, incl. doors and sidelights.
- Repairing drywall; installing baseboards, trim, and cabinets.
- Caulking sinks, tubs, baseboards, trim, etc.
- Installing and repairing windows, screens, cabinets, etc.
- Installing and repairing door and door hardware (handles, locks, hinges, closures, etc.)
- Ability to work with T-Bar structure, ceiling tiles.
- General familiarity with HVAC, and heating systems.
- General knowledge of plumbing repairs (changing taps, investigating leak source, etc.).
- General knowledge of minor electrical repairs.
- Day-to-day, preventative, and emergency maintenance.
- Documentation and coordination with office, Controller, and Owner using established Building Standards.
- Ability to prioritize workloads with competing deadlines
- Painting experience is beneficial, but not required.

- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate, Plus a comprehensive benefits package
- Schedule: 8 hour shift (Monday to Friday) + Overtime
- Work Location: In person
