Job Overview: A hands-on, dynamic, and results-driven IT Manager to lead our Information Technology department. This role is critical to the current and future success of our organization, overseeing all IT-related functions and ensuring seamless technology operations. As an IT Manager, you will lead a team of skilled professionals and collaborate with departments across the company to implement technology solutions that align with business goals. You will also play a key role in shaping our IT strategy to accommodate growth and technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and Lead IT Team:
Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the IT team, which includes application developers, and infrastructure/hardware Analysts. You will ensure team members are equipped with the necessary tools and training to maximize their performance and achieve individual and departmental objectives.
Project Management:
Identify, prioritize, and manage IT projects aimed at maintaining and expanding the company’s technological infrastructure. You will work closely with the other department managers to implement projects that enhance productivity and efficiency across the company.
IT Security and Backup:
Ensure robust security measures are in place to protect company data and IT systems. Conduct regular system audits to ensure security, compliance, and reliability of IT systems and infrastructure. Oversee the backup and recovery processes to minimize downtime and safeguard against data loss.
Technology Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitor the performance of all IT functions to ensure optimal uptime, addressing issues promptly to avoid any disruption to business operations. Regularly review and update systems to remain aligned with current and emerging technology trends.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the IT budget, which includes forecasting and procuring software, hardware, and other IT resources. You will be responsible for making cost-effective decisions that support the company’s technological needs while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
Vendor and Equipment Management:
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to procure the necessary equipment and software, ensuring that all purchases align with the company’s standards and budget.
Stay Informed on Industry Trends:
Stay updated on the latest developments in IT and technology to ensure the company is at the forefront of innovation and equipped to handle future challenges.
Qualifications:
Education:
A university or college degree in Information Technology or a related field is required.
Experience:
2 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT management or a similar role, with demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage IT functions.
